The Chicago Bulls missed out on the hottest commodity in the free agent market in Carmelo Anthony but ended up with the best signing from the offseason in Pau Gasol. Pau has been everything that Carlos Boozer was not. He plays defense, scores in crunch time and provides a plan B to Derrick Rose who is struggling, but will turn it around. So as of now, it looks like the Bulls plan B might have been better had their plan A. Pau Gasol is hovering right around the top 4 in blocks in the NBA this season. At 7’0” tall he has much more size and length than Boozer did and it provides a formidable front line with the reigning defensive player of the year Joakim Noah. Pau Gasol is a very intelligent and easy going off the court. But on the court he is cold blooded in his shot making and his ferocious blocking ability at the rim. Pau Gasol has been an All Star multiple times but he has never started. With his strong play in the frontcourt the Chicago Bulls fans are showing up in force, he is currently sitting second in voting for frontcourt players in the Eastern Conference. Pau is very appreciative of the fans and he wants them to continue to vote. At his age and his ability it is a wonder why he hasn’t started yet. In a new city and on a new team Pau is rejuvenated and ready to make his mark. So get your votes in Chicago and #votebulls.
